Prize: A hand-made trophy by the ASCE Student Chapter members
Outcome: The first-place winners will be awarded the CE conference room for a day of their choosing! They can host information sessions, run a display table, and/or conduct interviews.
Rules of the game:
Cornhole boards will be placed 27 feet apart from front edge to front edge. A cornhole team will consist of two industry professionals and two Boise State ASCE Student Chapter Members. The teams will alternate tossing their cornhole bags toward the opposite board. After the bags are tossed, the score for that inning will be calculated. The team that scored in the previous inning pitches next after sides are swapped. If no team scores, the team that pitched first in the previous inning pitches again.
Scoring (cancellation):
A cornhole bag that goes through the hole is worth 3 points. A cornhole bag that lands on the board is worth 1 point. A cornhole bag that hits the ground and bounces on or off the board is worth 0 points. Cancellation scoring will be used, meaning after each inning the points will be calculated and the team with the higher number of points subtracts the amount of points scored from the other team. Cornhole games will be played up to 21 points.
