Before coming to College, I had know idea what I wanted to do. Life had taken me in several different directions and I felt a lost. Boise State gave me an opportunity to find purpose and has helped me take a step in the right direction. I found interdisciplinary studies my sophomore year and have never looked back. It has allowed me to create opportunities in life I never thought possible. Opportunities like, helping write peoples stories, looking at the history of different cultures and experiences in the world AI. All these areas which I never had interest in, and now find my life surrounded by. I am now a first generation student, soon to be graduate, who is going to be able to step into any field with the knowledge and mind set that will allow me to do anything I set my mind on.Â
I now have the skills and experiences to step into any job with the right mindset and confidence someone needs to succeed. I intend to go into a field, which will allow me to compete as a professional golfer and write at the same time. This will be working remote, so I can travel to tournaments at the same time as working. My years as a student athlete have set me up for these pressures and trained me to stay on top of leadership, communication and organisation. I won't be out of my depth. I look forward to the opportunities I gain after my time at Boise University and look forward to writing about athletes and their stories, seeing how their journey has changed and the level of sacrifice they give, to help them become some of the worlds best.
