JAN 5 - JAN 9
This week was the first week of school after winter break, Jaquelin worked on looking for materials that work for our prototype and added them to the estimates sheet, she created. I created a sheet that would have all the important information, but also have additional information to generate a very detailed but comprehensible bill of materials. I chose to do it this week because Mr. Rojas, our teacher, told our class that the bill of materials should be submitted and materials should already be ordered. He said this mainly because most students in his class are using the district's money or other business; our team isn't. The majority of our materials are going to be paid out of pocket from our team members. This will benefit us as we don't have to rush or have a deadline to order the materials.
During this I found out it would be more coinvent to pick up the materials rather than getting them delivered. The delivery for the wood costs $35, more than the wood itself. We found it impractical to get it delivered.
For the screws, the deliverry was free but we could just pick it up in the same day as the wood. That way we dont have to wait for the screws to arrive.
JAN 12 - JAN 16
The 3D base model has been adjusted to the new measurements that would fit with the piece of wood chosen in the bill of materials. The initial model we had made first, we would need a bigger and thicker piece of wood that would be too expensive. The new measurements help us find a more common size of wood, that would in return be cheaper.
JAN 19 - JAN 23
During this week Mr. Rojas, the teacher introduced our class into making attendance sheet to track our minutes in class. I, Jaquelin, created a sheet but it either got lost or did not save because I couldn't find it on Thursday. On Thursday I created a new and better one than the first one.
JAN 26 -JAN 30
I, Jaquelin, first fixed the template of the attendance sheet that I created the week before. Then I copied the template for the weeks before and added our hours. In this week, Joselin told me I should not be working on the progress reports, so I stopped and did some 3D modeling.
As mentioned before, I, Jaquelin started working on 3D modeling. I worked on making the jaw for the animatronic.
