Work as a Learning and Teaching Team to consider the beginning stages of continuous reporting.
Set minimum expectations for staff for when 'results' will be released.
Train your staff to ensure they know how to create feedback without publishing results.
Teach your staff or Heads of Department how to publish a class of results at the same time, to ensure consistency for parents.
Encourage your staff to complete the Online Teacher Course, so they can gain maximum benefit from Schoolbox!
Create a group page or news topic called 'Principal Matters'.
Use one of these avenues to engage your whole community in significant, school-wide events or achievements.
If using a group page, ensure that all of your parent community are part of this group so as they receive notifications.
If using a news topic (recommended), ensure that the news is targeted to the entire parent community to celebrate events or successes.
Work with EdSmart and Schoolbox to ensure your integration is smooth.
Determine if you need a nominated party to be able to write calendar events to add all approved excursions to the appropriate user's calendars.
Navigate to the Junior Schools User Group and the Inspiration Forum on Schoolbox Help.
Review what other schools are doing for their ELC/Junior students.
Ask for help and examples on the forums!
Contact the Professional Services Team and ask them to investigate if there are any other schools replicating your current practice on Schoolbox.
Post on the Ideas Forum, suggesting what you would like to see in Schoolbox for ELC.
Engage with key stakeholders in the Learning and Teaching areas.
Consider the requirements for 'subject pages'.
Navigate to Administration > Homepages and create suitable templates to match the requirements.
Create documentation to support minimum requirements for your subject pages.
Create a sample subject page that staff can refer to when creating their own pages.
