Leading with Empathy

This session leads managers and leaders of people  managers on an exploration of the different elements of empathy to enhance personal connection, engagement, and communication skills. Relationship development and management are important to building toward leadership and promoting strong and healthy teams in leadership positions. The most effective leaders are those who know how to lead with empathy, create connections, and express a genuine concern for their team. By the end of this session, you'll be be able to: 

• Explain how empathy drives connection and relationships

• Recognize the impact of change on individuals and teams

• Implement strategies to drive meaningful relationships with your team 

• Explain why you don't have to choose between being a good leader and having empathy 

Self-Care Strategies for Effective Leadership 


There’s a reason why the airline attendants tell us to put on our own oxygen mask first before attending to children or others.  If we can’t breathe, then we’re not going to be able to help anyone. And this is also true in life. If we are not physically and mentally well, then we cannot take good care of anyone else.  If we’re not successful, then we can’t help others to succeed.  And if we’re not happy, then we cannot hope to make others happy.    

This workshop is designed to give you the tools you need to take care of yourself in all areas of life. But, they are tools that take some practice to learn and to use. Learning and ,more importantly, incorporating these practices into your daily life will eventually put you in a better position to deal with whatever curve balls life throws at you and to help your team do the same.
