The Digital Learning Environment in Canvas
TWU currently supports the following digital technologies. The digital learning environment at TWU can be distinguished between the built-in features in Canvas and the External Applications or Cloud Services.
There are several Canvas Requested Integrations that offer Assignment and Assessment features. Review the vendor documentation for additional information.Â
If the tool you are having issues with is an Enterprise Tool in Canvas, submit a Service Desk Ticket for more support. If the tool you are having issues with is not an enterprise tool, contact the appropriate resource. This could be your department, academic unit, or a vendor representative for assistance.

External Application Placement for the Canvas Integration
Depending on the External Application, one or more of the following placement categories will be available in Canvas:
Assignment Selection: Configure the External App to be selectable as an assignment during Assignment creation or editing.
Editor Button: Configure the External App to display as a button in the Rich Content Editor.
Assignment Selection: Configure the External App to be selected as an External Tool during Assignment creation or editing.
Homework Submissions: Configure the External App to display when a student is submitting content for an Assignment. When a tool is configured, users will see an additional tab during assignment submission for assignments that accept online submissions.
Link Selection: Configure the External App to be selected as LTI to launch URLs during module items creation or editing.
Course Navigation: Configure the External App to display as a link in the navigation for a course.
