Hi! I’m Jairah Denosta Teodosio, 28 years old, from the beautiful archipelagic country of the Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in English, from the University of St. La Salle. I am the youngest of five siblings, with three sisters and one brother.
I have a passion for dancing and singing, and I absolutely love potatoes, I could honestly eat them every day! I also love traveling, especially to the mountains, which always inspire me and fuel my sense of adventure.
During my professional journey, I discovered one of my greatest strengths: hosting. I truly enjoy hosting events and programs, particularly in school settings, where I can engage with people and bring energy to the occasion.
I began my career as a call center agent, then worked as an ESL teacher and later as a medical representative. Eventually, I followed my passion for education and became a teacher in a formal school. In my previous school in the Philippines, I taught students from elementary to junior high school, handling not only English but also various subjects beyond my specialization. I hold TESOL and TEYL certificates, which strengthened my teaching skills further.
Currently, I am working as a Foreign English Teacher at Chiao Yi Elementary School in Xizhou Township, Changhua County, Taiwan, where I continue to share my love for learning and English with my students.
Teaching with heart, living with passion, and growing through every experience.
I love speaking in front of people, and hosting an event in my country was an amazing experience. It allowed me to connect with the audience, share ideas, and build my confidence in public speaking.
I also love reading during our Catholic Masses, as it helps me learn more about God and deepen my faith. Sharing His word with the community is a meaningful way for me to grow spiritually and connect with others.
I often serve as the emcee during awarding ceremonies and graduation rites, which has greatly boosted my public speaking skills. This experience has helped me improve my diction, pronunciation, and use of English, while also building my confidence in addressing large audiences.
I began as a Grade School adviser and later became a Junior High School adviser, where the roles were quite different. Each level presented new challenges and responsibilities, and through this journey, I learned so much from all of my students back in my country. Their energy, questions, and perspectives taught me valuable lessons about teaching, leadership, and understanding young minds.
