These activities are challenging students to work as a team while learning English.

Let's talk about recycling and being resourceful! Instead of doing the usual way of teaching phonics, I came up with this idea.
How does it work?
🟤 There are two sets of cups. Each cup consists of the phonics they have learned (cup #2). There are five initial letters they have to read per cup (cup #1). They need to twist the second cup to match it with the first. Two teams will play against each other. The fastest group wins. They have to shout, "We are the best!" once they are all done.
Note: The two cups are combined together.
Target skills: Reading and speaking.
After teaching colors and the color song, it's time to stand up and move a bit!
How does it work?
🟤Split the class into two teams. Each team has six paper sticks, and they have to shoot them into each paper cup. At the end of the line, they have to get the sticks one by one and pass them to the next player. The fastest group wins.
It's just a common sorting game, but the excitement of the game keeps them engaged.
Not your usual spelling game.
How does it work?
🟤There are 4 groups in a class (or depending on the sets of blocks you have). They have to listen to the vocabulary word that the teacher will say. Make sure that the students have learned the words and spelling before playing this game. Once they were able to spell the word, they had to read the word.
Target skills: Listening, reading, and speaking.
I never thought that they'd love CVC sliders, so I made a reusable one.
