My name is Amelia Wade, and I'm a Foreign English Teaching Assistant from North Carolina, USA. On this website, you'll find plenty of information about me, including my work experience and education.
Outside of school, I have a passion for nature and outdoor education. You can often find me hiking, walking, swimming, or otherwise enjoying the world around me.

I currently co-teach English classes to grades 3-6, and deliver extracurricular English club classes to all grades. I also instruct personal development and culture-sharing classes for staff three times per semester.
Welcome House Raleigh; Raleigh Parks and Recreation
After graduating college, I worked with Welcome House Raleigh and Raleigh Parks and Recreation; two organizations supporting free community English classes as a volunteer English teacher for recent refugee arrivals in the United States.
Planned and delivered adult-level English instruction for all levels of English learners.
Served as a community connection for resettling refugees.
Advocated for refugee arrivals by acting as a point of contact with local government organizations.
Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines
Over the course of 5 years, I worked as a Camp Counselor, Event Activity Instructor and Assistant Waterfront Director to deliver varied instruction in outdoor skills, including wilderness first aid, knife safety, sustainable camping, outdoor cooking, and water safety.
Delivered instruction to children aged 2nd Grade - 10th Grade.
Assisted with schedule planning, camp operations, and emergency management.
Encouraged childhood development through age-appropriate games, verbal encouragement, and positive leadership.
Implemented sustainable goals for repurposed materials according to Leave No Trace principles.
Certified as a Waterfront Lifeguard through American Red Cross. Obtained additional certifications in First Aid/CPR.
