Identification Process
The Township of Union School District follows the National Association of Gifted Children recommendations, as well as the NJ Department of Education definition to identify our students within a range of the top 8-10%. All students undergo the identification process.

All students are evaluated for Gifted and Talented.
All students are compared with their chronological peers in the District.
The District identification process is developmentally appropriate and non-discriminatory.
Student identification for inclusion in the Gifted and Talented education program is data-driven and evidence-based using multiple measures.
