All games that we play are rated Everyone (E) through Teen (T) by the Electronic Software Rating Board (ESRB). Any game rated Mature 17+ (M) or above will not be played.

Most games we anticipate of competing are Free to Play (FTP). There are some however that do have an associated cost with the game. As with many FTP games they may offer micro-transactions for various in-game items. In most cases these are focused on cosmetic features or unlocking playable characters quicker. This generally prevents game from being Pay to Win.
Many of our games can be played across multiple platforms. Of the few that are exclusive we will have the necessary platforms available in school for the students to use on the competitive teams. These will be used for both practice and competitive play.
For competitive play if a game is not exclusive to a single platform the default platform will be PC.
As our program has grown we have begun adding more playing options to our students. The games that we anticipate on playing are games that Garden State Esports anticipates playing in some competitive format during the school year. This will either be as a Championship or Contender Season. Below is a list of the games organized by ESRB rating we anticipate playing this year:
