Your Works Cited page belongs on its own page as the last page of your paper. It includes an alphabetical list of all the works (sources) you cited (used—quoted, paraphrased and/or summarized) in your paper. These sources must match all in-text parenthetical citations (ITPC).
Note: If your instructor tells informs you of an "unmatchable" source it means:
A source listed on the Works Cited page does not have a matchable ITPC
or
An ITPC does not have a matchable source on the Works Cited page
Note: When handwriting sources, underline the italicized items. This will remind you to italicize them when typing.

Tip: Create a page break to ensure that your Works Cited starts at the top of the last page in the correct spot.

If your Works Cited includes multiple works by authors with the same last name, continue alphabetizing letter by letter using the first name
If your Works Cited includes multiple works by the same author
give the author’s name in the first entry only. Thereafter, in place of the name, type three hyphens. The three hyphens are followed by a period and entry continues as normal.
determine the order of this author's multiple works by alphabetizing letter by letter using the title
If the first item on your Works Cited list is a numeral, alphabetize the title as if the numeral was spelled out (1914 becomes Nineteen Fourteen)
For any works that start with a title ignore any initial A, An, or The and alphabetize letter by letter using the next word
Note: If multiple works start with the same word(s) continue alphabetizing letter by letter until an order can be established
