School hours are 7:45-2:27
In my class, you are NOT expected to "turn in" a huge list of supplies for the classroom. The only thing that I request students to have is a full size backpack (please, with no wheels because they do not fit in our cubbies). The smaller backpacks do look great for the little ones, but unfortunately, they do not hold our homework and Wednesday folders, so having a full size backpack is requested. If you cannot purchase one, please reach out to me and I will make sure your child gets a backpack.
Even though I will take care of all the supplies kids need in the classroom, I would really love for all students to have some general supplies for use at home though (for homework, projects, etc.). If you cannot supply these for your child to keep at home, please let me know and I will find a way to help you get some materials for your child.
At-home supplies needed throughout the year- to REMAIN AT HOME, so no need to bring in to school: (back-to-school sales are best to purchase extras and then you can replenish at home throughout the year)
Crayola crayons
pencils
Crayola markers
glue sticks
glue bottle
colored pencils
student scissors
pencil box to hold it all in
While I will purchase all of the necessary supplies that students will need IN THE classroom myself, (folders, crayons, glue sticks, markers, pencil boxes, etc.), there are always other items that we seem to run out of very quickly.
It certainly isn't a requirement to donate anything to the classroom, but if you are wanting to donate something to our class, anything that you could spare, at any point in the year, would be greatly appreciated. The items that we often need the most throughout the year include:
Expo dry erase markers (black, low-odor are best- we use these every day and they dry out very quickly, so lots and lots of these are needed all year long)
Copy paper (both plain white and colored paper would be very appreciated at any time this year)
Elmer's Glue sticks (both big and small-we go through a TON of these)
Boxes of tissue (we really want to keep everyone healthy)
pencils (#2, Dixon-Ticonderoga pencils seem to work the best)
Baby Wipes (unscented please)
Hand sanitizer
Clorox/Lysol wipes
Crayola Markers (thick and thin)
Crayola colored pencils
Ziploc bags (all sizes)
Anything else that you would like to donate at any time would be welcomed! Thank you so much for supporting our class and school!
I have linked some additional items here to my Teacher Wishlist on Amazon that I typically purchase each year, just in case you wanted to donate anything else to our classroom. :-)
