a reusable water bottle clearly labeled with your child's name. Please be sure that it is spill proof, no more that 20 oz, has only water, and your child can easily open and close it independently.
A simple back pack, clearly labelled on the outside with your child's name. *a plain luggage tag makes a great label. The backpack needs to have:
one large pocket, big enough to easil hold a 1 inch binder and a Chromebook.
a smaller pocket on the front to hold the day's snack .
at least one side pocket that will hold your child's water bottle.
It should not have:
lights, sounds, attached keychains, or extra pockets. All these things make it unnecessarily heavy and distracting for the children.
A spare change of clothes for your child (sock, underwear, shirt & shorts/dress) all in a ziptop bag, clearly labelled with your child's name. These will be kept at school in case of illness or bathroom accidents. As the season's change, I will send the bag home for a different clothes appropriate for the weather.
If your child is hard on their things, you might also want to buy a replacement binder while they are on sale this summer. A one inch binder, with a pocket on the front and back covers to personalize it, as well as a pockets on the inside front and back to hold papers going back and forth between home and school.
