Field Study Days

These days are for students to learn "out in the field" instead of at school. There are 3 options for these days that a family can plan:

1. a field trip to somewhere educational

2. a job shadow when a student goes to work with someone for the day to learn about the job that they do

3. a community service activity in which the student serves their community in some way

Prior to each Field Study Day, families must complete, submit, have teacher approval for their Advanced Preparation plan for that Field Study day. Your child will be given a poster to decorate as evidence of their Field Study Day (due within 4 school days of the FSD) and to be used a visual aid to the presentation they will give to the class upon returning to school from their Field Study.
