Beginners/Developmental
Our Developmental Volleyball Program is designed specifically for players that are new to the sport. This fun and engaging program focuses on teaching the basic skills of volleyball—such as passing, setting, serving, and movement—through age-appropriate instruction and drills.
In addition to learning the game, players will build self-esteem, grow in confidence, and develop a strong sense of teamwork and sportsmanship in a positive, encouraging environment.
Our program is open to athletes of all genders ages 10U-12U. Please reference our age chart for help determining your players age group.
Players will get a jersey and a program T-shirt as part of their registration fee, and will participate in our health and wellness program which focuses on how to fuel your body, as well as care for your mental health. TCE also provides strength and conditioning training to help our athletes guard against injury.
Twin Cities Elite is a nonprofit organization and relies heavily on fundraising to cover seasonal expenses. Each Player will be required to participate in fundraising efforts throughout the season: An individual fundraiser, a team fundraiser and a dine out night. We also ask players and parents to participate in our tournaments by working at our concessions stand or admissions table for up to 4 hours per season. Players that do not fulfill their fundraising requirements are not eligible to compete in tournaments.
Players are invited to join us for Fall Clinics on October 27th & 30th to get warmed up for tryouts.
Practices will begin the first week of December and running through April 2026. They will be held on Mondays, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Carver Gym, 2680 Upper Afton Rd, Maplewood, MN 55119.
Each team will have 5 playdate events throughout the season. The dates are as follows, and times will be provided as they become available. Matches are hosted in facilities throughout the Twin Cities Metro, and will either take place in the morning or afternoon, and last about 3-4 hours total. Location and time details are typically emailed out 48 hours prior to the event date.
