NE Resources
Whether part of the Resident Educator Program or a new addition to our district, everyone has questions and needs a little extra help in mastering the culture and protocols of a new district. Taking inspiration from the Resident Educator requirements, we are excited to introduce a new program at Tusky Valley: All new teachers to our district will be paired with a "Professional Buddy" to assist with the transition into the Tusky Valley family of teachers.
All components of the New Educator Program are presented below. You can access all materials by clicking on the links for those resources. At the end of the school year you will be asked to complete a collaborative log of your work with your professional buddy [ Click here ].
Throughout the year there will be brief meetings to cover the important information at that time period for all Resident Educators and new employees. These meeting are shown in the table below. All meetings are mandatory and employees not receiving a stipend for the program can submit time sheets for attending.
August 7 - Administration Trojan Center during the New Employee Orientation

Before attending the monthly meeting of the TVLSD Board of Education, we will be meeting in Mr. Paisley's room at the Middle-High School. Topics for this month are:

November is observation month. The NE will most likely be observed by the principal and receive feedback thorough OTES/OCES. We will be meeting to discuss the following:

We will be meeting for a mid-year debrief and check-in. The members of your teams are welcome to join us to discuss the overall progress of the year.

We will be meeting to wrap up the year, discuss this program, and plan for next year. New employees will have the opportunity to discuss the types of support needed and what further needs they have for the next school year.
