Tuscumbia School Counseling Program
Counseling is an integral part of each school's total educational program. It is developmental by design and includes sequential activities organized and implemented by the school counselor with support of teachers, administrators, students and parents. The counseling program includes:
1. Counseling Curriculum - career education, anti-bullying, character education, academic development, etc.
2. Individual planning - four year plans, ACT prep, college prep, etc.
3. Responsive Services - being available for student needs
4. System support - ITV coordinator, district testing coordinator, MOSIS coordinator, A+ coordinator, class sponsor, & NHS Advisor
*The counseling program is designed to address the needs of all students by helping them acquire competencies in career planning and exploration, knowledge of self and others, and educational and vocational development.
