Library Access

CHS Library is open for FACULTY and STUDENTS everyday from 8:25am to 3:45pm, unless otherwise noted.

Faculty may reserve the library for use in advance as needed. To do so, see Mr. Hamilton.

Students may use the library with permission of the teacher, unless preempted by a scheduled use or activity.

The librarian does not give permission to use the library to students, it must be given by their current teacher.

Regular services include:

• BOOK CIRCULATION - Books may be checked out for a period of two weeks with unlimited renewals as long as there are no holds on the materials. There are no late fines, but replacement costs apply for lost items. The library catalog can be accessed through ClassLink (via MackinVision)

• COMPUTER USE - Computers in the library may be accessed for assignments. The library maintains both Chrome OS and Windows OS devices.

• MAKERSPACE USE - Makerspace activities available include puzzles, checkers, chess, brain teasers and other activities. Students may access these resources with the assistance of the librarian.

• REFERENCE DESK - Reference and research question assistance (including citation assistance, bibliography requests, & database access) may be requested from the librarian. 

• RESEARCH MATERIALS - Some reference materials are available for use in the library. They may not be removed, but copies of pages may be requested.
