The nearest shops selling groceries are small minimart type shops in Casalini around 4km from the house. In fact Casalini is well stocked for such a small place. There is a good mini-mart on the right as you enter. You can easily create supper and run the household out of that mini-mart. There is also a rather good hardware shop. In addition, there are a few restaurants and cafes in Casalini.
The nearest supermarket type shops are in Ostuni (6.4 km) or Cisternino (8.6 km). There are excellent fresh produce markets in Ostuni on Saturday morning and in Cisternino on Monday morning.
We are big fans of our local bakers who do a variety of excellent and good value foccacia. They are located on the outskirts of Ostuni.

The fabulous place for cheeses, made on the spot, you would go to this place, a little bit out of cisternino – our part of Puglia is famous for burrata and, even creamier, stratcciatella. Local burrata/stracciatella, tomatoes, bread, oil, salt basil… unbeatable. Plus the same place has local meats – the local thing from our regions (esp Martina Franca) is the cappa collo:
