Welcome to your virtual science class!
This page is where you can find links to our Google Classroom, resources you may need for your classwork, and science-related news and announcements.
While our current situation can be difficult, unpredictable, and scary, we also have new opportunities that I can't wait to test with you! Now more than ever we have the capacity to examine the world around us and ask questions to find truth (and without the limitations of a traditional classroom), and I intend to take advantage of that as much as possible. My hope is that this new challenge will be as fascinating and engaging for you as it is for me.
I am most excited now about the chance to answer all of your science questions! Because we are using this virtual learning experience, I will have more freedom to address and explore whatever intrigues you most--so submit your questions using the button at the bottom of this page and get ready to explore together!
While I'm sad we didn't get a proper goodbye, I know that I will see you again soon; until then, as always, I'm here for you in any way that I can be. I love and miss you all, and hope you've enjoyed your time at home.
Love,
Ms. Bland
Class Expectations
There will be a lesson posted in Google Classroom each day according to the schedule below. The purpose of these lessons is to keep your brains active and to help you review the most important science topics we've learned about this year so that you are still prepared for high school. To get to google classroom from here, you can click your class period below.
Every lesson you complete must be turned in so that I can provide feedback.
If you need help, contact me. You can text or email me any time before 9pm, but the best time for us to communicate is during my office hours. We can chat on the phone, on Google Hangouts, or Zoom.
Each lesson is due at 11:59 pm the day it is assigned. If for some reason you cannot complete it by then, you have up to 24 hours past the due date and time to submit your work.
