The project is a renovation. While there was much discussion around constructing a new building or renovating the existing building, it was decided that the best course of action was to renovate the existing junior-senior high school.
Will my taxes increase?

Your taxes will not increase. The scope of the project is within the district's financial means so that we will not need to increase taxes to renovate the JSHS.

Revised: Project will go out to bid in June 2023 and construction to begin in August 2023.
The design phase of the building will begin now. The project would be expected to go out to bid April 2022 with construction to begin in June 2022.

The anticipated date would be December 2025/January 2026.

The project will officially split the Junior-Senior High School into the Tulpehocken Area Middle School for grades 6-8 and Tulpehocken Area High School for grades 9-12. Their will be separate areas of the building dedicated to each grade span with separate entrances and offices for the middle school and high school.
