Raveena Bains-Davit, M.S., CCC‑SLP
Speech‑Language Pathologist & Owner
As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Raveena has provided comprehensive speech and language services to over a thousand students ranging from birth to 22 years of age. She is bilingual in Punjabi and English, which enhances her ability to connect with and support diverse communities. Her experience spans diverse educational settings, including public schools, where she has supported students with a broad range of communication needs, including those in moderate to severe Special Day Classes (SDC). Her specialized training in SDC environments has equipped her with the skills to deliver individualized and group interventions for students with complex communication disorders, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities.
In addition to her work in educational settings, Raveena has extensive clinical experience in hospital and skilled nursing facility environments. She has evaluated and treated adult and geriatric patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, particularly those resulting from stroke, traumatic brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions. Her hospital-based practice involved interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
Raveena is trained in the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI) approach, which emphasizes systematic, explicit instruction in foundational reading skills. Her understanding of UFLI’s structured literacy framework allows her to integrate language and literacy interventions, supporting students’ phonological awareness, decoding, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. This training is especially relevant to her work as a speech-language pathologist, as language development is intrinsically linked to literacy acquisition and academic success.
Her commitment to professional growth is demonstrated by ongoing participation in continuing education and specialized training related to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), autism spectrum disorders, language-based learning disabilities, and culturally responsive practices. Raveena is dedicated to fostering communication, independence, and academic achievement for individuals across the lifespan.
