Universities in Singapore have different intakes as university programmes are offered by both local public universities and also the overseas universities with a local campus.
Applications for NUS, NTU, SMU, SUDT open around mid-October with deadlines closing from February onwards.
Students can sometimes apply with predicted grades but will not receive a formal offer of admission until the official IB results are published.
Some universities do NOT accept predicted grades for certain courses (eg. medicine, dentistry, law)
Some universities only accept predicted grades for IB, but not A-levels (eg. NUS, NTU)
With this in mind, please check the requirements and intake dates carefully!
No centralised application system so you need to manage your deadlines/timelines.
Check whether your desired course has any extra requirements. For example, students applying to medicine will require an extra personal statement.
Overview
Apply in Term 1 of Year 13 or fall after graduation depending on entry requirements.
Some courses require additional assessments such as interviews, selection tests and portfolios – you will be notified accordingly if you need to attend one.
