June 24th, or otherwise directed by teacher.


Manyhorses High School will be open for picking up paper copies of work Monday -Thursday. Please call ahead and practice safe protocols in picking up work.

All teachers will be offering online classes beginning Wednesday April 14th. Teachers will be contacting students, but feel free to reach out to teachers if you have any questions.

Ice Fishing Trip on Monday 15th (grade 10's) and Wednesday 17th (grades 11 & 12's)


Spring Break is April 2- April 11, 2021. Students will be back in classes on April 12th.

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate during this evolving COVID situation. Safety and prevention of COVID transmission to students, staff and community is our highest priority. Due to recent events with the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, we are taking the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of illness.

We developed the following measures:

• Identify immunosuppressed and other at-risk students and employees.

• Finalize daily systematic approach to disinfect all schools and buses.

• Develop flexible in-person and remote learning options for student cohorts.

• Coordinated safe food service options for cohorts.

On Feb 1st we will be returning to a blended in-person/ online cohort option at Manyhorses High School.

Quarter 2 classes end this week and Quarter 3 classes begin Monday, February 1.

All grade 10's are taking Math 10C, 10-3 and 10-4 along with Tsuut'ina 15 and an option (PE) on Mondays and Tuesdays.

All grade 11's and 12's begin Wednesday, February 3 with Social 20-1, 20-2 and 20-4 along with Tsuut'ina 25 and an option (PE) on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Grade 12's will take English 30-1, 30-2 and 30-4 with Tsuut'ina 35 and an option (PE).

For those students working online, please open the email your teacher sends to get invited to the google class. If you have difficulties, email your teacher or call the school.

  • Online core classes will be at the regular class times and days, unless directled differently by teacher.

  • Paper copies are available for pickup at the high school from 8 am- 4 pm, Monday- Thursday, for those students who have indicated they require this.

  • Work should be submitted weekly via Google classroom or dropped off at the high school weekly.

  • Last day to hand in work physically is Dec 16th.

  • Tsuut'ina classes will be held at the regular classroom times - see Ellison's classroom/ webpage for details.

On behalf of Tsuut’ina Nation Education and Emergency Management, we'd like to share the following information;

On November 24, 2020, Premier Kenny and Dr. Hinshaw announced a number of Public Health Measures affecting school attendance. To align with province wide measures, Tsuut’ina Education has taken the following steps. To be clear, this initiative is an enhanced measure to help insure the safety of all Nation members, employees and students.

Effective today, November 26, 2020, all Tsuut’ina Schools including; Chiila Elementary, Chief Big Belly Middle, Many Horses High School, Bullhead Adult Learning Center, Gunaha programs and Headstart program will continue with On Line learning until December 17, 2020. There will be no in person classes during this period.

Christmas break will be from December 18, 2020 until January 11,2021. Teachers and staff will contact families to provide detailed information for all students. We'd like to take this opportunity to remind all to continue to follow all safety precautions including wearing a mask, regular hand washing, maintaining 2 meter distance from others and refrain from gathering with others.

You’ve all done a great job of helping one another stay safe. Please continue to do so.

RE: ANNOUNCEMENT – TSUUT’INA EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

With the Alberta Government's recent announcement, Tsuut'ina Education will be following the safety measures announced on November 24, 2020. Students attending Nation Schools from Grade 7 to 12 will move to online/school packages effective November 30, 2020.

Students in K5 to Grade 6 will continue to attend school according to their Cohorts. Cohort A; Monday and Tuesday; Cohort B; Wednesday and Thursday. Online students will continue as usual.

Transportation will continue to operate for students in the City and Nation schools for K5 to Grade 4.

Both City and Nation schools will break for Christmas from December 17, 2020, to January 10, 2021, with a return date of January 11, 2021.
