Texas School for the Deaf's 9-12 Career & Transition Team aims to help students make more informed and better educational and career choices. This includes discussing and planning post-secondary goals through a well-designed and coordinated process centered around students' strengths, interests, and needs.
We also guide students on high school course offerings, their Personal Graduation Plans (PGPs), career options, the type of academic and occupational training needed to succeed in the workplace, and post-secondary opportunities that are associated with their field of interest. The purpose of transition services is to help students meet their authentic, long-term outcomes and prepare them for adult living after leaving school.
