Academies

Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, TSD adopted a more individualized approach to learning to help students prepare for life after graduation. Transition planning is an important part of this approach, helping students connect their interests, strengths, and future goals with their high school experience.

TSD has four Academies: Trades, Humanities, Digital Media, and STEM. Each Academy includes a lead teacher and a team of teachers with expertise in the Programs of Study offered within that Academy. Together, they support students in developing transferable skills, gaining industry-based experience, and preparing for employment, career training, and/or postsecondary education.

Programs of Study

Each Academy offers specific Programs of Study that allow students to explore an area of interest through a planned sequence of courses. Completing the required course sequence within a Program of Study allows a student to earn the corresponding endorsement on their high school transcript.
