Do your field partner's know local believers who would be willing to learn IT and Language Technology skills to serve Bible Translation? Forming an IT/LT internship is a great way to train and build capacity. Contact Field Technology to learn more about IT/LT internships.
Charles shares how God prepared his heart to participate in the IT/LT internship program with Field Technology beginning in 2019.
"I feel privileged to find myself amidst the LT/IT and Media Cohort as it has really been of good help to me. I have learned about different distribution and scripture engagement channels that aids the promotion of the gospel to the unreached despite the sensitivity of the area.
Technology now makes it easier for some people here in Nigeria to have access to android devices and with what I have learned in Scripture App and Reading App Builder it is really a great tool in saving souls and letting people know more about Christ.
So far I have been able to teach others what I am learning and that is what the Cohort team is all about as every person has his own weaknesses and areas of strength.
Coming together under the Cohort umbrella made us unique because one person's issue is everyone's issue. I am a blessing to my organization and to my Church as a result of this umbrella… Darcie, Chris, and Pastor Charles I can say have made a duplicate of themselves through us. I look forward to sharing testimonies from the end users as I work with my organization on preparing materials for the church in their mother tongue. Thanks and God bless!"

"I was privileged to be part of those people that were selected to work in [the Nigeria IT/LT Cohort]…And for this past three years, I see confidently that my leadership skills have improved and my presentation skills have improved…
I help, not just my organization…I help other organizations with Bible translation projects and activities…And at the moment, as I speak, I facilitated the EMDC [which is an] international platform… We call it Scripture App Builder Africa for the African world to see that this cohort is something that is designed not just for yourself, but to enhance other people…
You can see the people calling to receive this modern technology. They want the word of God to spread…
So in this three years of learning greatly [with] Seed Company, it has been a time of joy for me, a great level of enlightenment…They train you and by the second year, you begin to train… I'm actually very grateful to Seed Company and I want to encourage them to have these in other countries. And apply these in different parts of the globe…
The cohort is something that transforms life. If you are willing to learn, you will learn the basic skills you need, not just basic - you go to the advanced level. So I want to say thank you for these three years of investing in learning the Scripture App Builder technology software, Paratext, Bloom, Render, Kalaam media, and working with various Bible translation organizations and media…[it’s the tools] we need.
Thank you very much. God bless you."

Martin Ikeya loves to write for an audience of young people who are learning to walk and follow Jesus. He is also a Seed Company IT/LT Support intern in Nigeria. When an opportunity emerged this year to manage the Print on Demand unit at his organization, Calvary Ministries (CAPRO), Martin quickly volunteered. He says, “It’s hard work and I often have deadlines that are very pressing, but my wife comes over to the office and helps me print, cut and bind while the kids are sleeping. We love working together.”
Why did Martin volunteer for such a demanding job? In 2016 Martin prayed specifically to learn how to print books. At the time he loved writing discipleship materials, but he had no idea how his work could ever get printed. He went to several print shops and all of them had limits of 1,000s of copies for more money than he could pay. He prayed that God would open a door for him to be able to print for those who want these materials, especially in the minority languages.
God has answered Martin’s prayers. Now, as manager of the Print on Demand unit, Martin is helping to develop and print Bloom books as well as facilitate the translation and printing of the Unfolding Word, an easy-to-understand, visual overview of the Bible.
Seed Company helped CAPRO with a 3-year plan to outfit a “Translation Workplace” so local language materials could be developed and distributed widely. We provided training, some media equipment, and completed our MOU with Print on Demand equipment (about $8,000 in value). Martin’s story is just one example of how this small investment from the Seed Company has multiplied in countless ways for the local language groups around the CAPRO facility. God shows yet again that with faithful believers seeing and investing in His vision, He will transform these investments of time, talent, and resources into priceless ways to build His kingdom.
