- School-wide rules must be followed – read your handbook
- Drink ONLY WATER in class (new carpeting in the room!)
DO THE BEST YOU CAN
- All students will pull their own weight in activities and projects; teamwork and common sense are necessities. Cooperate with each other! Drama is NOT WELCOME in this classroom. I expect you to work with ALL of your fellow classmates in a respectful manner.
- You are expected to complete all assignments, including journal entries. Generally, I will not let you know when I am going to read your journal, so it is your responsibility to complete them when assigned – including when absent. I will happily share the Google Slides with you so you can catch up on journal entries.
- You are expected to complete all assignments….if you do not, it is almost certain you will not pass!
- Take responsibility for your actions, or lack thereof.
- If you are absent, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see me for what we covered in class and missing assignments – I will not hunt you down!
- Disrespect will not be allowed in any form in this class. This goes for classmates, speakers, guests, visitors and teachers. Be open-minded and non-critical of one another. I will NOT TOLERATE bullying, trash talk, or slurs against people or groups of people – even those not in the room.
- When I am talking I don’t appreciate other people talking – so don’t do it. You’ll have your opportunity to participate in classroom discussion.
- When someone is speaking, everyone else is listening.
- I care about all of my students and want everyone to succeed. I am always willing to help you in any way I can – just let me know what I can do. If you have questions and concerns – I encourage you to bring those to me also.
If you choose not to follow the class guidelines, this is what will happen to you:
- First Offense – You will be given a verbal warning
- Second Offense – You will be given a verbal warning and moved to another part of the classroom where you and everyone else can better function.
- Third Offense – You will be removed from the class, assigned a detention, and your parent(s) will be called.
- Fourth Offense – You will be given a referral.
- Fifth Offense – You will be given a referral and will complete a behavior contract with Mr. Wildoner.
- Sixth Offense – Removal from the class.
The purpose of this class is to help you become the best you can be. I am here to help you do that. You need to know and understand that not everyone is always going to choose to do what is right, and therefore we have to have these guidelines. They are in place to make this class the best it can be. Thank you in advance for following them!
If you have question, thoughts, concerns, ideas or opinions, please share them – I want to hear from you. We will all benefit from your honesty and desire to be better.
DO NOT LINE UP AT THE DOOR BEFORE THE BELL RINGS – WAIT AT YOUR DESK!!!!!!!!
Tardies
- If you are not in the classroom when the bell rings, you will be counted tardy.
- You WILL receive a tardy for being late to class, the only exceptions are passes from the office or another teacher – going to the bathroom does not count as an excused tardy unless you get permission from me before the bell rings.
