Welcome to our First Grade Classroom!  It is going to be an exciting year in first grade, and I can't wait to welcome everyone into the classroom.  In the Backyard Safari, we will work on building relationships and a strong sense of community. We will continuously work on implementing our lifelines into our daily classroom routine.  These lifelines will help us grow into a strong family that celebrates our differences, our victories, and helps pick each other up when we are down. Student families are also an important piece of our classroom family, with communication and participation being a large part of a student's success.  My goal for my students is to provide a safe and positive environment that will allow each student to reach their maximum potential.  

The purpose of this website is to keep you informed as to what is going on in our classroom. Our website contains our weekly newsletters, class list, schedules, helpful websites to reinforce first-grade skills and provide fun practice activities,  my grading policy, my AR policy, and other important information.
