CLASS DOJO:
This year I will be using a web-based program called Class Dojo. It is an excellent communication tool to help keep parents updated about their child and things that we have going on at school and in our classroom.
Once you have joined our class (there’s even an app!) you will be able to see things that we have going on through posts that I create. Another great feature of Class Dojo is the ability for me to send messages to parents and for you to message me.
This app also allows me to keep a class story of all of the exciting things happening this year. I will post updates of what we are doing and pictures of the fun activities we will do. I love to share what we are up to in room 26!
Students and parents love it and I hope you will find it helpful too!
To help stay in touch with how your child is doing at school each day we will be using a clip chart.
The behavior plan is created where students can show growth each day. Each student will start on green each day and they will have the ability to move up or down on the chart multiple times throughout the day. If a child is making poor choices, they will have many opportunities to improve their behavior and move up on the chart.
Please check your child's take home folder each night and look over their behavior calendar to see what color they were on that day. This will give you an idea on how their behavior was at school that day. This calendar must be initialed each night!
To the left is what each color represents on our clip chart.
