At Mayflower Mill
Here at The Mill my title is Student Services Coordinator. I am here to help students, teachers, and families with anything that may come up throughout the day. You can find me at recess, in the classroom, running a group, or meeting with a parent on most days. My favorite part of my job is absolutely my work with the students. Each year I do a Bully Prevention lesson and a Body Safety lesson in every classroom. I also provide social skills instruction individually or as a group. Last year we had groups that focused on creating and maintaining friendship, conflict resolution, anxiety, personal space, handling difficult emotions, and family changes. Many of the topics I cover are great areas of improvement for all students, not just those who are struggling. At Mayflower we strive to help your child grow socially and emotionally, as well as academically.
You can find my office located in the Library. I have gone with a dinosaur theme and my motto this year is "This World Needs You". I believe we all have something to offer this world, great things. Sometimes we forget just how amazing we are and how amazing we can be. My goal this year is to fuel your children's self identify and help them discover who they are and what they have to offer. If there is one thing I want your child to leave my office knowing, feeling, and believing it is that they are important and we would not be the same without them.
At Home
When I'm not at Mayflower I enjoy spending time with my two cats, Lord Dudley and Prince Rawry, gardening, and roller skating! In the summer I enjoy canoeing, kayaking, camping, and swimming.
