Identifying Learning Gaps and Measuring Progress
Some reliable methods for identifying learning gaps, whether for one student or the whole class, are listed below. Teacher intuition plays a role in suspecting a gap, but clear evidence of one increases the likelihood of finding and implementing an appropriate intervention. The same identification method can be used at the end of the intervention to measure progress and/or achievement.
