Classroom Policies:

As we go through the school year, you can expect your student to have Math and Reading homework each weeknight. Students are expected to read 20 minutes on their own toward their AR goal every Monday through Friday.

Due to the fact that we go over the quiz questions in class, Indiana Weekly grades are a 0 if it is not completed by Monday morning.

Late work will typically be 10% off each day, with a max of 5 days late. If late or incomplete work becomes a chronic problem, assignments may not be accepted late.

Grading Scale

A = 100 - 90%

B = 89 - 80%

C = 79 - 70%

D = 69 - 60%

F = 59 - 0%

Birthdays/Special Treats:

Birthday treats are allowed, they just need to be commercially produced and individually packaged. Cupcakes, donuts, etc. are fine, too. Please make sure to include any utensils or napkins the kiddos will need to enjoy the treat.

Student Pickup/Dropoff/Appointment Schedule Changes:

As a teacher, I spend the school day interacting and instructing the class. I do not always have the opportunity to check my email during that time, so please email or call the office to make ANY changes to your child's schedule. The ladies will then notify me. Feel free to email me as well for vacations or appointments, but the office ladies need to know first.
