Reading: Grade will be based upon Reading Response Journals, participation during Reading Workshop, tests, quizzes, workbook assignments, book presentations, comprehension strategies, and class participation.

 Language Arts and Writing: Grade will be based upon daily assignments, quizzes, tests, participation during writing workshop, writing pieces, daily language assignments and class participation.

 Spelling: Grade will be based upon daily assignments, tests, and class participation.

 Math: Grade will be based upon daily assignments, quizzes, tests, class participation, and problem solving activities.

 Social Studies: Grade will be based upon worksheets, tests, daily assignments, special projects, class participation, and other activities.

 Science: Grade will be based upon daily assignments, worksheets, science labs/activities, class participation, and tests.

Grading Scale

The Tippecanoe School Corporation grading scale will be used in all content areas. It is as follows:

100-90= A

   89-80=B

   79-70=C

   69-60=D

Below 59% will result in a failing grade (F)
