Small groups will take place for students who are going through similar things. These groups will last 6-12 weeks and will meet together once a week. The groups are small and will vary in sizes, with around 2 to 5 students in a group.
Teachers can refer students for small groups, and I will also ask them which students they have that they believe would benefit from a topic of a small group. In addition to teacher input, the students will be given a brief survey at the beginning of the school year to help create groups and have students involved who will benefit from them.
If your student is asked to be in a small group, I will seek permission for their involvement. No student will participate without parent consent.
These groups are to focus on more specific needs of the students and create connections among them.
These groups will take place at different times throughout the year, and there will be one to two groups per grade level at one time.
If you think your student would benefit from being in a small group, please reach out to me!
The small group topics that will be meeting during second semester of the 25-26 school year are will be updated once they are created.
