Hello woodland friends! My name is Beth Cox, and I'm so excited to be a part of the amazing third grade team at Burnett Creek! I look forward to welcoming you all into my Enchanted Forest!
I have been an educator for 15 years, beginning my career as a first grade teacher—which, at the time, was my absolute dream job! However, my dream evolved once I had children of my own. I stepped away from the classroom setting for a while to stay home and care for them, but I never lost touch with my passion for teaching. During that time, I stayed deeply connected to the academic world by teaching preschool and early elementary homeschoolers, instructing gymnastics, and working as a substitute teacher.
Last year marked my official return to the classroom, and I am incredibly grateful it brought me to this wonderful school! The staff, students, and families have been so warm and welcoming, and this community has quickly felt like family. I am thrilled to bring that same sense of belonging to your third grader. They are going to be a valuable part of our classroom community, and I look forward to all the growth, learning, and magic we will experience together this year!
This is my family! I married my high school sweetheart, Zach, 16 years ago. We have three incredible kids! Our oldest, Olivia, will be in 8th grade this year. Desmond is our middle kiddo, and he'll be a 7th grader. Our youngest, Norah, will be a 2nd grader this year.
Our family loves beach vacations in the summer! We love hiking, riding bikes, playing board games, bonfires, traveling, get togethers with family, and adventures with friends! With each of our kids in a variety of extra curricular activities, our nights and weekends stay full and active! You'll find me at gymnastics competitions, soccer games, cross country matches, basketball games, and cheering on my cheerleader!
