Grading Policy

Grading Scale:

All grades recorded, using formative and summative assessments and progress monitoring, are given equal value and averaged at the end of each nine-week grading period. The TSC percentage scale is:

90-100% A

80-89% B

79-70% C

69-60% D

59 -0% F

  • If your child receives a D or F on a paper they will need to correct it and turn the paper in again. Sometimes they will be able to correct the paper with help from an adult at school. At other times, the work will need to be corrected at home and returned. All work with a letter grade on it is recorded in the grade book. Practice work marked with a smiley face or check mark is looked over but not included as part of your child’s grade.
