Hi everyone! My name is Ashlyn Thayer and I'm so excited to be teaching 4th grade! This is my first year teaching, and I can't wait to join the Cole Cub family! I grew up in Lafayette and attended McCutcheon High School. I completed an entire school year of student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom and loved every minute of it! I graduated from Purdue University in May of 2025 with an Elementary Education degree. Boiler up! 

Outside of school I love spending time with my family! I have a younger sister who I'm living with this year, and an older brother who lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife. Luckily, my parents are still in Lafayette, so I get a lot of quality family time in! I also love to travel. I am often planning fun trips with friends/family or to visit my boyfriend who lives in another state! I have also recently kindled a love for cooking/baking, so I have been working on perfecting some recipes!
