While being involved in FFA, members have the opportunity to attend a variety of leadership conferences. These conferences are designed to strengthen leadership skills and play an important role in helping members grow personally through the three-circle model of agricultural education.
Who: Freshmen
Cost: Free
This conference introduces students to the benefits and opportunities available in Agricultural Education, including SAE projects and FFA involvement. It’s designed to be a “hook, line, and sinker” experience that motivates students to stay involved in Ag Education throughout their high school years.
Who: Sophomores
Cost: Free
This conference focuses on personal growth and self-discovery. Students explore their talents, strengths, interests, and character while learning how to develop the skills needed for long-term success. The theme is “ME”—building personal skills and confidence to help students discover their passion and reach their goals.
Who: Juniors & Seniors (students should have attended MFE)
Cost: Free
Once a leader understands their own purpose, they can begin to grow through collaboration with others. This conference helps students strengthen relationships, consider diverse perspectives, and work together to set goals and build a shared vision. The theme is “WE”—focused on teamwork, leadership, and establishing a common direction.

California FFA’s premier capstone conference. Skills for solving problems, making decisions, and accomplishing goals are developed. Students step into the role of one of California's State legislators, are assigned a specific California district, and spend four days in Sacramento.

FFA members leave WLC with the knowledge and the confidence to act in ways that help their schools, community, and their country. This conference focuses on Community Development and SERVE: the ability to grow and develop others and serve your community.”

At the California FFA State Leadership Conference, members participate in general sessions, educational leadership workshops, a career show, and engage in delegate sessions to accomplish the business of our association.

How Much:
The event is the nation’s largest annual gathering of students. Students have the opportunity to explore career and educational opportunities from more than 450 industry-leading exhibitors at the Expo and participate in hundreds of educational workshops and tours.
