1. The long walk to your test...in the hallway, instead of listening to kids tell you how hard the test was, distract yourself to stay calm. Think of a food starting with each letter in the alphabet, going from A-Z. Or, an animal, or a name. This simple art of distraction will help you stop self-sabotaging! EX: A-aardvark, B-bengal tiger, C-cat, D-dog, E-elephant, F- fox etc...

2. On your way down the hall to a test/quiz or other stressful situation, chant a mantra in your head; something like, "I got this one," or, "I'm gonna ace this test." Try to make your steps match the beat of your mantra. Don't worry if it's a silly mantra, after all, it's in your head, not out loud!
