Below: October 26, 1962  -- Day of the BIG SNOW!  (*See story in Memories and Short Stories: "Big Show -- Bigger Snow! What to do??"  by Rick Bartunek WGH '64, who writes about what happened the day of the big game with Massillon, when a snowstorm covered Mollenkopf Stadium in a six-inch-deep blanket of white -- the game, and the half-time show, did go on!)

Above:  Note that the program shows a photo of the 1962-63 WGH Band, but it was the 1963-64 band that performed in the First Band Night (below).  Mr. Fleming and Mr. Foster decided to surprise the audience by introducing the WGH Band wearing their brand new black, white and red uniforms.

The last paragraph on the Band Night program states: "And finally, we proudly present the 1963-64 Warren G. Harding Senior High School Band in their new uniforms, which were purchased at a cost of $11,378.10. This band is now not only one of the best bands in these United States, but it is also one of the best dressed bands." from the Warren G. Harding First Annual Band Night program, donated by Elaine Marshalek Ferguson WGH '65
