Financial Aid and Scholarships
In an effort to make the transition from HS to college as simple as possible, all TRSD high schools have many resources within the schools. Here, you will find general slide shows with information about the FAFSA process. We also have many local and state scholarship opportunities.
TIMELINE FOR SENIORS Class of 2024:
Get all your classes in order and make sure your schedule allows you to graduate on time.
Sign up for an FSA ID at: https://fsaid.ed.gov/ You and a parent both need an ID, using separate emails. HINT: Do not use your school email account! You and your parent will use these answers your entire college career, so write them down.
Download the Oregon Goes to College - It's A Plan App on your phone to keep track of usernames & passwords, plus much more.
Fill out and submit your FAFSA Application and include up to 10 colleges, including Rogue Community College.
Complete the Oregon Promise Grant if you will graduate with a 2.0 GPA. Almost FREE community college anywhere in the state, up to 2 years.
Work on getting 2 Letters of Recommendations, teacher and the other from outside school; a coach, mentor, family friend...but not a family member.

FEBRUARY ~ MAY:
Finish anything that still needs finishing
Guess what . . . It's decision time - May 1st! Call colleges you will not be attending. Pay dorm deposit to the college you will be attending.
