EbscoHost

This database is the leading provider of research, e-journals, magazines, and ebooks. This is always a great place to start research if you have no idea where to start. After you click on the Ebsco Icon on the symbaloo page, you will want to select “Explora High School” in the left column of the home page to ensure you are receiving age and skill appropriate results. Then you may simply type in the name of the individual you are looking for.

This resource is an encyclopedia style database which features articles, images, and videos on a wide array of content. This source would be good to use for prominent historical figures such as Joan of Arc or Alexander the Great.

Working on a Science Project? This research database has tons of resources available to you. From climate change to genetically modified organisms to fracking, the wealth of content in Gale In Context: Science spans the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth and environmental science, health and medicine, and math and technology.

This is a reliable website that allows you to find information on almost any noteworthy individual in history or in present day. When you get to the homepage, simply click on the two white lines on the left side of the page to find the search bar. Then just type in the name of the person you are looking for and read through the results. This is another great resource if the person you chose is more current. For example, Jay - Z, Jessica Chastain, Freddie Highmore, Mike Pence, or Michael Phelps all have resources of this site.
