Welcome to Troop 1134!

Welcome to the official web page for Scouts BSA Troop 1134 chartered by Saint Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA and is part of the Atlanta Area Council, Northern Ridge District of the Boy Scouts of America.

We meet most Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm in McNamee Hall where our Scouts work on advancement, and plan monthly camping trips. We maintain this website to help you understand how we are organized, and what the Scout experience at Troop 1134 is like.

Troop 1134 Accomplishments

  • 90+ Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle since the Troop's formation

  • Fully trained adults (including Eagle Scouts, Wood Badge, & Order of the Arrow members)

  • BSA Journey to Excellence Award *Gold*

  • Northern Ridge District Honor Unit

  • Membership of approximately 50 boys ranging in age from 11-18

  • Scouting families from Roswell, Alpharetta, Woodstock, and Marietta

  • Troop owns full camping equipment and trailer

Troop 1134 Activities

  • Regular Tuesday night meetings at our dedicated meeting space at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church

  • Monthly outings include excursions such as Camping, Hiking, Bicycling, Canoeing, Caving, etc…

  • Annual Summer Camp opportunity where Scouts experience the fun and excitement of whitewater rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, sailing, climbing, fishing, orienteering… and much more

  • Annual High Adventure Expeditions for older Scouts have included Philmont in New Mexico, Sea Base in the Florida Keys, Northern Tier in Canada, and Kandersteg in Switzerland

If you are at least age 11 but not yet 18 and interested in joining Scouts BSA, you've already met the first requirement of scouting — interest! The second step to joining is finding a troop.
