Many 4 year colleges & universities require an ACT or SAT score. The class of 2022 will be taking a state issued ACT on Feb 28th, 2022. Students will be registered by THS and the test is free. All other ACT or SAT tests must be registered and paid for by the individual student. Students may take the ACT or SAT as many times as they prefer. The average student takes the test 2 - 3 times throughout high school.
Some colleges are still choosing to go TEST OPTIONAL. This means that they do not require a score for admission or scholarship opportunities. It is very important for seniors to research their school's policy. For the latest list of TEST OPTIONAL schools- check out www.fairtest.org
Below you will find a list of resources that are available to your when preparing for the ACT & SAT. Many of these resources are absolutely free to you. There are a few paid resources available if you need further individualized support. It is the student's responsibility to pay for the cost of these programs. Remember to study early and often!
