IT / CyberSecurity Help Desk
Students in IT / CyberSecurity (Room 207) at TriStar are ready to help you with your personal (home) computer issues or to clean up and speed up your computer. Service is Free (but snacks for students who work on your device are appreciated) Parts not included, but we will help you find the right parts if needed.
Desktops and Laptops only for complete hardware and software service.
Other devices such as game consoles are accepted at our discretion, since we may or may not be able to fix robot vacuums, garage door openers, sewing machines, etc... (all of which have been brought to our lab).
Cell Phones & Tablets (software help only) We will not fix broken screens or take your cell phone or tablet apart. Students do get to practice taking apart cell phones, tablets, and other devices, but we use devices from our donated device inventory where it doesn't matter if they mess up while learning. It's just too much of a risk for students to take apart customers' cell phones and tablets while they are still learning. Broken device donations are accepted.
School owned equipment should be directed to the TriStar IT Department.
IT / CyberSecurity students do get to job shadow with the TriStar IT department but the TriStar IT department should be your first point of contact for any school related technology issues.
Please fill out this Online Help Desk Form or Download this Printable Form
Then bring your device to the IT / CyberSecurity Lab (Room 217) at TriStar.
