Who? 5th grade students (and parents wanting to attend)
What? A field trip to Bridal Cave in Camdenton, MO and for ice cream treat (provided by the teachers) at Grandpa’s Ice Cream (1381 Bagnell Dam Blvd. Lake, Ozark, MO 65049)
When? Thursday, April 9 (depart at 8:45-back by 2:30)
Where? Bridal Cave’s Underground University
Why? To learn more about geology and explore God’s
underground creations.
What should I wear?
Tennis shoes (that can get dirty), Trinity t-shirt, jeans, and a jacket (optional, but, it will be cold in the cave.)
What should I bring?
Pack a lunch, water bottle, and something fun to do on the bus. (No electronics per Trinity’s handbook policy.) Souvenir money is optional.

Students will be starting a research project on an influential American this week. These will be presented at the student showcase at the end of April.
Reminder: All students will have an individualized independent reading goal for AR this quarter.
(This will not include any books that we read together in class.)
Students have set new goals for 4th Quarter. Please contact Mrs. Ziegelbein know if you have a concern with the goal that your child has set.
AR POINTS WILL BE DUE: FRIDAY, MAY 8th.
Must be a Mark Twain Nominee or Award Winner
Or a book by Roland Smith, Angela Cervantes, or Karina Yan Glaser. (These are the authors we saw at the literature festival.)
Students are responsible to provide their own paper bag or gift bag for this report.

Memory work is due on Thursdays at 8 A.M.
Students may say memory work any day of the week leading up to the due date.
Extra Credit is given for saying memory before the due date.
Memory work may be broken into two parts for students to recite. (Example: If the assignment is Hebrews 12:1-2, Hebrews 12:1 could be said on Monday and Hebrews 12:2 could be said on Wednesday.)
Memory not said by 8:00 A.M on Thursday may be copied three times on notebook paper by the student for 50% credit.

We love celebrating birthdays!
If you wish to send treats for your child's birthday, please include all items necessary for serving. Our schedule allows for birthday celebrations at morning recess around 10:10 AM.
(It is helpful if treats are individually wrapped.)
