In Kindergarten Prep, we use the Enduring Faith Bible curriculum to help students grow in their understanding of God’s love and biblical truths. Through stories, songs, and age-appropriate activities, children learn foundational Bible concepts, develop Christian character, and practice living out their faith in everyday life.
In Kindergarten Prep, we work hard on letter recognition and foundational phonemic awareness skills. We also focus on building our students’ ever-growing vocabulary to help prepare them for a successful transition into kindergarten.
In reading, we emphasize understanding concepts of print, developing reading comprehension, and recognizing sight words. In writing, students practice forming letters, expressing ideas through pictures and words, and building early writing confidence.
In Kindergarten Prep, we use Bridges to Mathematics to build strong early math skills. Students develop number sense through hands-on activities while exploring counting, number recognition, patterns, and basic problem-solving. Our focus is on helping children understand math concepts in meaningful ways and building confidence as young mathematicians.
In Kindergarten Prep, we use The Little Spot of Feelings social-emotional learning curriculum to help students recognize, understand, and manage their emotions. Through stories, discussions, and activities, children learn to identify feelings, practice empathy, and develop positive social skills that support a safe and caring classroom community.
In Kindergarten Prep, we use Handwriting Without Tears to develop strong foundational handwriting skills. Students learn correct letter formation through hands-on, multisensory activities that build fine motor skills, confidence, and readiness for writing in kindergarten.
In Art class, activities encourage expression of Biblical truth paired with artistic concepts and fine motor development. Students explore a variety of materials and techniques while learning to follow directions, express ideas visually, and take pride in their work.
In Kindergarten Prep, Physical Education focuses on developing gross motor skills, coordination, and healthy movement habits. Through structured play and age-appropriate activities, students build strength, balance, teamwork, and confidence while learning the importance of physical activity.
In Kindergarten Prep, music class helps students explore rhythm, movement, and sound in engaging and age-appropriate ways. Through singing, instruments, and movement activities, children develop listening skills, musical awareness, and a joy for music while building confidence and creativity.
