It is great to meet you! My name is April Lenhart. I started at Trinity in August 2020 as the 1st grade aide. After 2 years I moved to Early Childhood and ended up taking over as the K-Prep teacher in November 2022. I have continued in that role. I enjoy K-Prep as each year is different so I get to try new things and continue to learn new methods and ways of meeting the needs of my students.
I am a Dec. 2019 graduate of Concordia University Wisconsin. I graduated with a Lutheran teaching degree in Elementary Education. In August of 2007 I completed my Director of Christian Education (DCE) training at Concordia University Minnesota. After graduation I taught for 12 years in Lutheran schools teaching grades Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd and 4th. I then served as a 2nd grade aide for 2 years in a Catholic School.
Outside of school I am married to Logan (a funeral director/mortiacian) and we are the adoptive parents of our twins Brandon and Sophia (5th graders here at Trinity) and a 1 year old kitty named Valentino. We are active members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion. I love spending time with my family and friends, baking with my kids, taking trips, and visiting my parents and sisters. Hallmark, Disney movies, Bluey, pizza and dark chocolate are a few of my favorite things.
